Stephen Leahy, independent environmental journalist, is the nominated candidate for Durham in the next federal election. Stephen was our candidate for the 2008 federal election and earned 11.4% of the popular vote, finishing ahead of the NDP.

Stephen has chosen a campaign team of Louis Bertrand as campaign manager and Michael Dempsey as official agent. The campaign team is currently preparing for a federal election at any time due to the unstable political configuration in the House of Commons. We are looking for volunteers for early canvassing, collecting nomination signatures and organizing meet & greet events in communities throughout Clarington, Scugog and Uxbridge.
